The assessment criteria are through the 4 learning outcomes below:
Learning Outcomes & Assessment Criteria:
The participant will have achieved these outcomes because s/he can:
1. Understand how Acu-Stim and Electro therapeutics work
through being able to:
i. List safe/unsafe points or places to apply Acu-Stim.
ii. Locate Acu-Points accurately.
iii. Use an Acu-Stim probe correctly.
iv. Apply micro current according to Acu-Stim protocols.
v. Demonstrate, understand & explain the correct frequencies of Acu-stim that trigger natural anti-depressants & or deep relaxation via neurotransmitters/hormones
2. Understand the use of Acu-Stim for the treatment of Opiates, Stimulants and Poly drug withdrawal symptoms.
Through being able to:
i. Explain the frequencies used for Opiate, Stimulant, & poly drug withdrawal and the rationale behind it.
3. Understand when not to use Acu-Stim.
through being able to:
i. Explain the conditions that could make Acu-Stim treatments unsuitable or dangerous
4.Run an Acu-Stim session following correct procedures.
through being able to:
i. Demonstrate and carry out, a safe and therapeutic acu-stim session; while being observed.
The methods of assessment will be through Q & A, (questions & answers) participation sessions, observed practical, demonstrations, peer and independent participant assessments, a short written exam and a practical exam.
